During the group discussions, each peer consultant read aloud a summary of the allocated interview and identified 4 to 8 themes. At the end of this presentation, the rest of the group commented on the identified themes. In the final 4 meetings with the resource group, we merged the findings that had emerged during the first 4 meetings into a set of main themes that encompassed all 18 interview transcripts. We then agreed on one overarching theme concerning social relationships that promoted recovery.
